An Oatmeal recipe for everyday in January!
In celebration of Oatmeal Month I wanted to create and share some of my favourite oatmeal recipes during the month of January! If you live somewhere cold like I do then I think you will be able to appreciate some new Oatmeal Recipes to test out this month!

I thought I might kick this post off with some Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal!

Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal

Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Quick Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup Water or Cashew/Almond Milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup Canned Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein (Optional but I’d recommend it) LeanFit Complete Green is my fave!
  • 1 tsp of Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp of Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • Handful of Raisin (that have been soaked in hot water for plumpness)
  • Small handful of Nuts (I used walnuts, but pecans are great too) 

Directions:

  1. Boil some hot water and soak your raisins for 5 mins and then drain
  2. Place the oatmeal, liquids and vanilla in a microwave safe bowl and stir it
  3. Place bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes on high (or longer if needed).
  4. Add the pumpkin to the cooked oatmeal stir it again and reheat in the microwave for 30 seconds
  5. Mix in the Protein Powder (if you’re using it) and spices to your bowl, you can feel free to add more milk if needed for desired consistency!
  6. Top your Oatmeal with nuts, raisins and any other topping you’d like!
  7. Enjoy!

Bottomless Oats Perfected

The next oatmeal recipe is one Kelly M from the blog FoodieFiasco! I have a big fan of Kelly’s blog for years so I was excited when she said I could feature her recipes on my blog. Kelly creates the best low-calorie healthy desserts and meals and the best part is she caters to so many dietary restrictions!

The Classic Brown Sugar and Cream Oatmeal

Classic Brown Sugar and Cream Oatmeal Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Quick Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup Water or Almond Milk
  • 1/4 cup  canned coconut milk (chilled)
  • 1 tbsp of brown sugar for the top

Directions:

  1. Place the oatmeal and liquids in a microwave safe bowl and stir it
  2. Place bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes on high (or longer if needed).
  3. Top your Oatmeal with Coconut Milk and Brown sugar
  4. Enjoy!

Skinny Peanut Butter Cup Oats

Not sure there’s a better combination than chocolate and peanut butter and this recipe by Rebecca had both of those things! Check out her Skinny Pb cup oats here!!

Pina Colada Oatmeal

Pina Colada Oatmeal Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Quick Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup Water or Coconut Milk
  • 1/4 cup  canned coconut milk (chilled)
  • Pineapple chunks fresh, canned or frozen
  • 1/2 tbsp (or more)flaked coconut
  • maraschino cherry for decoration

Directions:

  1. Place the oatmeal and liquids in a microwave safe bowl and stir it
  2. Place bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes on high (or longer if needed).
  3. Blend the chilled canned coconut milk and a few pineapple chunks (save a few for the top)  until smooth and frothy
  4. Top your Oatmeal with remaining pineapple chunks, cherry and coconut flakes
  5. Enjoy!

GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE OATMEAL

This next Oatmeal recipe is another one from Athletic Avocado it’s their German Chocolate Cake Oatmeal recipe! I haven’t actually had a chance to have German Chocolate Cake besides a coffee that flavour but this looks pretty darn good and I have a feeling it tastes just as good!

Cookies N’ Cream Oatmealcookies n cream, oatmeal recipe, oreos

Cookies N’ Cream Oatmeal Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Quick Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup Water or Almond/Cashew Milk
  • 1/4 cup  canned coconut milk (chilled)
  • 2 TBS Oreo Cookie crumbs
  • Oreo Cookies to crush on top (optional)

Directions:

  1. Place the oatmeal and liquids in a microwave safe bowl and stir it
  2. Place bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes on high (or longer if needed).
  3. Stir in the chilled canned coconut milk into the hot oatmeal and stir in 1 TBS of the cookie crumbs
  4. Top your Oatmeal with remaining cookie crumbs and maybe a Oreo Cookie or two
  5. Enjoy!

Eggnog Oatmeal

This next Oatmeal recipe is one from Natalie at Feasting On Fruit! Natalie has been one of my favourite recipe curators for a long time, she always comes up with the best sweet treats to satisfy any sweet tooth! The warming spices in Natalie’s Eggnog Oatmeal recipe are so perfect for the cold month of January. Be sure to check this recipe out!

Peanut Butter and Jelly Oatmeal Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Quick Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup Water or Almond/Cashew Milk
  • 1TBS coconut flour (optional for added thickness)
  • 1 TBS Kraft Peanut butter
  • 1 TBS Jelly

Directions:

  1. Place the oatmeal, coconut flour and liquids in a microwave safe bowl and stir it
  2. Place bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes on high (or longer if needed).
  3. Stir in Kraft Peanut Butter (melted in the microwave for about 30 seconds)
  4. Top your Oatmeal with a spoonful of jelly
  5. Enjoy!

Baked AB&J French Toast Oatmeal

This oatmeal recipe is from Amanda at Running With Spoons! Amanda’s blog is full of lovely recipes- it doesn’t matter what you’re looking for you’ll be sure to find something tasty to make! I knew I needed to feature Amanda’s Baked AB&J French Toast Oatmeal recipe once i came across it. This oatmeal recipe is the best of both worlds: Almond/ Butter and Jelly + French toast… all in one recipe, okay I’ll stop gushing! Be sure to check the recipe out here!

Cookie Dough Oatmeal

Cookie Dough Oatmeal Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Quick Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup Water or Almond/Cashew Milk
  • 1 and 1/2 TBS coconut flour 
  • 1/4 cup cashews (soaked for a few hours or overnight) + blended into paste
  • 1 Tbs applesauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1Tbs Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips by Bakers

Directions:

  1. Place the oatmeal, and liquids in a microwave safe bowl and stir it
  2. Place bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes on high (or longer if needed).
  3. In a separate bowl mix the cashew paste, coconut flour, apple sauce and vanilla until it forms a doughy texture, you may have to add more flour to make it thicker if it isn’t dough like
  4. Stir in chocolate chips to dough
  5. Either form cookie dough into balls and mix it into your cooked oatmeal or just toss it all in there!
  6. Enjoy!

Blueberry Pie Oatmeal

GingerBread Oatmeal Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Quick Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup Water or Almond Milk
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp blackstrap molasses 
  • 1 /8 tsp ginger
  • 1 /4 tsp cinnamon
  • Whole cloves on top for decoration

Directions:

  1. Place the oatmeal and liquids in a microwave safe bowl and stir it
  2. Place bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes on high (or longer if needed).
  3. Stir in molasses until well combined and then stir in the spices
  4. Feel free to top off with a tiny bit of icing or cream
  5. Enjoy!

Chunky Monkey Sugar Free Oatmeal

This next Oatmeal recipe is Jenn’s from Veggie Inspired! Jenn’s website is the place to go for simple and delicious recipes that are also secretly healthy too! Her Chunky Monkey Oatmeal Recipe is Nutty, Chocolatey and definitely worth checking out!

BANANA BREAD OATMEAL

Banana Bread Oatmeal Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Quick Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup Oat Flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 Large very ripe banana
  • splash of water
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Optional add in’s: walnuts, chocolate chips 

Directions:

  1. Preheat the Oven to 350
  2. Blend the banana, vanilla and splash of water until there are no lumps
  3. In a separate bowl mix the oat flour and oats, baking soda and baking powder together.
  4. Stir the blended banana into the dry ingredients
  5. Pour mixture into an oven safe dish and bake for 20 minutes or until centre is no longer wet.

Spiced Sweet Potato and Fig Oatmeal

FUDGE BROWNIE OATMEAL

This next Oatmeal recipe is another one from Natalie at Feasting On Fruit! I couldn’t resist sharing another one of hers- she is the sweets Queen!! I’m mean common this Fudge Brownie Oatmeal is fantastic! If you’re a brownie fan be sure to check the recipe out here!

Cheesecake Oatmealcheesecake oatmeal

Cheesecake Oatmeal Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Quick Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup Water or Almond/Cashew Milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp Daiya Cream Cheese
  • 1 or 2 packets of sweetener
  • 1/4 cup Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • Optional fruit to top it off

Directions:

  1. Place the oatmeal and liquids in a pot on the stove and heat on medium until waters almost absorbed
  2. Once the liquids are almost absorbed add in the Daiya cream cheese and sweetener
  3. Put cooked oatmeal in a bowl and top it off with graham cracker crumbs and any other topping!
  4. Enjoy!

Cinnamon Roll Overnight Oatmeal

Alisa from Go Dairy Free created a delicious oatmeal recipe that you can make in the evening and enjoy the next morning! Her recipe is a Cinnamon Roll overnight oatmeal, it’s simple and delicious! Check it out here!

Canadian Maple Syrup Oatmeal

Canadian Maple Syrup Oatmeal Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Quick Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup Water or Almond Milk
  • 1 or 2 tbsp of Maple Syrup ( I used some pure canadian maple syrup but you can use your favourite,)

Directions:

  1. Place the oatmeal and liquids in a microwave safe bowl and stir it
  2. Place bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes on high (or longer if needed).
  3. Top maple syrup and enjoy .. eh
  4. Enjoy!

Nutty Horchata Oatmeal

If you happen to be a fan of the beverage Horchata then there’s a good chance you will be a fan of this Horchata Oatmeal from Well Vegan! This oatmeal recipe is easy to make and it only contains 5 ingredients, be sure to check it out right here!

Carrot Cake Oatmeal

Carrot Cake Oatmeal Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Quick Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup Water or Almond Milk
  • 1/4 cup  pineapple (fresh or canned)
  • 1 /3 cup shredded carrot
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1tsp vanilla
  • 1 packet of your favourite sweetener (i used stevia)
  • Optional add ins: nuts and raisins!

Directions:

  1. Place the oatmeal and liquids in a microwave safe bowl and stir it
  2. Place bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes on high (or longer if needed)
  3. Stir in the shredded carrots, pineapple,cinnamon and sweetener
  4. Enjoy!

Peaches and Cream Oatmeal Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Quick Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup Water or Almond Milk
  • 1/2 cup peaches, 1/4 cup peaches to blend 1/4 cup peaches for the top(fresh or canned)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup Coconut milk/ cream ( or cream of choice)

Directions:

  1. Place the oatmeal and liquids in a microwave safe bowl and stir it
  2. Place bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes on high (or longer if needed)
  3. Blend 1/4 cup of peaches
  4. Stir in the blended peaches to the oatmeal
  5. Top off with peaches pieces and cream!
  6. Enjoy!

Vegan Pecan Pie Overnight Oatmeal

Berrylicious Oatmeal Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Quick Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup Water or Almond Milk
  • 1/2 berries of choice(raspberry, blackberry, blueberry)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1 packet of sweetener (optional)

Directions:

  1. Place the oatmeal and liquids in a microwave safe bowl and stir it
  2. Place bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes on high (or longer if needed)
  3. Blend 1/4 in cup of berries in a blended
  4. Stir in the blended berries to the oatmeal(this step is optional)
  5. Stir in a packet of sweetener if you’re using one and the rest of the berries
  6. Enjoy!

Birthday Cake Oatmeal Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • For the base:
  • 1/4 cup Quick Oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup Water or Almond/Cashew Milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • optional add in: 1 scoop vanilla protein- more authentic taste/texture!
  • For the Cake part:
  • 2 tbsp Coconut Flour
  • 2 packets of stevia or other sweetener
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 flax egg ( 1 tbsp ground flax seed, mixed with 3 tbsp water and left to sit for 7 minutes)
  • 1/4 cup cashew milk and more if needed
  • optional:sprinkles!

Directions:

  1. For the cake: Mix the flour, sweetener and baking powder until clump free
    Mix the flax egg and cashew milk into the dry ingredients until there are no more lumps!
    Place in the microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes until it puffs up!
  2. Place the oatmeal and liquids in a pot on the stove and heat on medium until waters almost absorbed. If you’re adding protein powder now is a good time to do it, adjust water or milk according to your liking.
  3. Put cooked oatmeal in a bowl, with the mug cake and sprinkles and feel free to top it off with some coconut cream!
  4. Enjoy!

Oatmeal Cookie Apple Crisp

This oatmeal recipe is another one from Alisa at Go Dairy Free! This recipe is called Oatmeal Cookie Apple Crisp– I mean that title alone should be reason enough to make it!
